Poso Springs Ranch is a 160-acre in-holding that is surrounded by thousands of acres of Rio Grande National Forest. The ranch is located about 20 miles west of US Highway 285 in the San Luis Valley, just outside of La Garita. Spring-fed Poso Creek meanders through the parcel, drawing numerous species of wildlife. This parcel is in Colorado Game Management Unit (GMU) 79, which provides over-the-counter archery Elk tags (either sex - resident only). Muzzleloader and rifle season are on a draw basis for both Elk and Mule Deer.
