Hartsel is about two hours southwest of Denver and a little more than an hour east of Colorado Springs. The South Park area is known for being a great recreational destination. In addition to the three local reservoirs - Antero, Spinney and Eleven Mile Reservoirs - Wildhorse Reservoir is under construction and will open nearby in a few short years.
